Connecting whānau to their ancestral lands and forests
Forest Hapū Clusters (FHCs) are special trusts that help connect Tūwharetoa people to their traditional forest areas. They were created following tikanga (Māori customs) and based on mana whenua (traditional authority over land).
These clusters make sure that money and benefits from the forests go directly to the right hapū and their whānau members.

He Iwi Kainga is the Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust's housing strategy, set up in 2019 to help with the housing needs of Ngāti Tūwharetoa whanau.
The Trust provides a number of grants to support our marae operational costs and benefit the people of Tūwharetoa.
