Our Job is that we manage the forests and other resources that belong to our iwi (tribe). We’ve been doing this since 2009, working hard to make sure these resources help our people now and in the future.
Our Big Dream:
Tipua te ao o Tūwharetoa mō te iwi, ki te hāpai ngā hapū taketake.
In English:
We want to grow and strengthen the world of Tūwharetoa for our people and make our hapū (sub-tribes) even stronger.
We are the Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust. We look after the money and land that was returned to Ngāti Tūwharetoa people through a special agreement with the government.

Our Main Goals
He Iwi Kāinga is an iwi-led housing kaupapa set up to support our Tūwharetoa people to thrive in their housing aspirations and is supported by the following organisations.
We acknowledge the tools and benefits we are provided.
He Iwi Kainga is the Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust's housing strategy, set up in 2019 to help with the housing needs of Ngāti Tūwharetoa whanau.
The Trust provides a number of grants to support our marae operational costs and benefit the people of Tūwharetoa.
