Welcome to Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust.

Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust is the Post-Settlement Governance Entity (PSGE) that manages the financial and whenua resources returned to Ngāti Tūwharetoa in the Central North Island Forests Iwi Collective settlement.

Approved by Ngāti Tūwharetoa, the Trust was established on 1 July 2009, and has been operating for the benefit of Ngāti Tūwharetoa ever since.

 

Our Vision Is:

Tipua te ao o Tūwharetoa mō te iwi, ki te hāpai ngā hapū taketake.

Grow the world of Tūwharetoa for our people, to further strengthen our hapū foundations.

We are the Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust. We look after the money and land that was returned to Ngāti Tūwharetoa people through a special agreement with the government.

Hei iwi kāinga

He Iwi Kainga is the Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust's housing strategy, set up in 2019 to help with the housing needs of Ngāti Tūwharetoa whanau.
